ABS Spring Spectacular Expo Cake Dive!

At the Australian Spring Spectacular Expo August 21st & 22nd 2010 at the Royal Carlton Exhibition Building, they had an amazing competition where seven lucky brides to be are chosen to do the Cake Dive for a $5,000 solitaire diamond ring!
Every bride who attended the exhibition who bought a $5 raffle ticket to support the Ronald McDonald House Charity, had the chance to win a honeymoon to the Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, and the $5,000 glistening ring. They had to be willing to get down and dirty by diving into a massive 5-tier wedding cake to find the solitaire diamond ring.
ABS Expo Cake Dive With Ring
We had the Wedding Movies stand at the Expo, and I was lucky enough to catch the end of the fashion parade and the exciting cake dive. It is times like this that I wish I had the Canon 7D with me to film this exciting and dirty event. Thankfully I had my iPhone to capture the moment.
The brides really jumped into the five tier cake and then they had to mush it into the ground to try to feel the ring on the palms of their hands.
The cake had been decorated with diamonties that would twinkle under the lights, which had the audience yelling out “It’s there! It’s there!” They had smashed  and mushed the cake so much, they even had it on the bottom of their shoes! That also had the audience yelling out “Check the bottom of your shoes!”
Eventually the ring was found, it took around 20min, apparently the longest time it has ever taken. So Congratulations to Erin who found the ring, and thank you to those who entered for your entertainment, it was a fun event for all.
Enjoy the video and we will see you at the next Expo! :D

Melbourne Wedding Video – Locations#2

Melbourne Winery Wedding

When you are thinking about locations for your wedding, consider what you want your video and photography to capture, how do you want to remember your special day?

Melbourne wineries are a great all in one wedding location. You can have your ceremony, photo shoot, and reception all in the same convenient place so you can utilise your time for video and photos. You wont have to stress about where your guests have to go in between the ceremony and reception, and the food and wine would be divine.

Often Melbourne wineries have beautiful buildings, old dairy barns, wine barrels in cellars, or old winery equipment that you can use during your photo shoot. It adds plenty of charm and character to your images.

Wedding Photo Ideas

Recently I attended the Nathania Springs Bridal Expo (such a well organised event with wonderful staff and fabulous food), and there was lots of fun to be had by all.  So much fun that I have photo evidence from the wedding supplier Australian Photo Booth Company, who use photo booths to capture the fun and creativity of all your guests at your wedding.
