Melbourne Wedding Video – Elizabeth & Tom Trailer

Elizabeth & Tom were married on Fathers Day, 5th September 2010. If you remember the night before, we had gale force winds and enough rain to flood parts of Australia.

The Ceremony was at the beautiful Sacred Heart Church in Carlton, which had roof damage from the storms but was temporarily repaired in time for their smooth sailing ceremony.

The rain held out for the morning and the sun actually poked its head out for most of it. With light rain shower for the rest of the photo shoot, it didn’t spoil the fun or beauty for the video or photos.

Warrick from Chateau Photography blew our minds with his stunning creativity, gorgeous locations, and a touch of humour.

The Reception was at The Sovereign on St George’s Rd Northcote, which has been recently renovated in a very stylish funky design.

“Until Death Do Us Part”

I got sent this in an email. I just had to forward it on for everyone to share in the beauty of this couples love, where the true meaning of the word shines through, and embracing every moment as life is so precious and we never know when “Until death do us part” will sadly be at our door. Enjoy this touching story and remember how lucky you are to have what you have.

Katie-Cancer treatmentHer name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiancé, Nick, 23. This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005. Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions…

Katie-Wedding DayEven in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single part of the wedding planning. Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie ‘s constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception. The other couple in this picture is Nick’s parents, very emotional with the wedding and to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.

Katie- Friends singingKatie , in a wheel chair listening to her husband and friends singing to her.
Katie- RestingIn the middle of the party, Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath. The pain does not allow her to stand for long period of time.

Katie- HappinessKatie died 5 days after her wedding. To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think… happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts….. lets enjoy life and don’t live a complicated life. Life is too short.

Work as if it was your first day.
Forgive as soon as possible.
Love without boundaries..
Laugh without control
and never stop smiling.
Please pray for those suffering from cancer.
We all have close to our heart.
Keep this going.
Prayers are always answered.

Melbourne Wedding Video – Nancy & Khaseng Trailer

Nancy & Khaseng were married on the 28th August 2010. The whole family had so much fun, including the puppy.

They started early with festivities, of traditional Groomsmen Games, followed by the Chinese Tea Ceremony. Then the Marriage Ceremony was at the beautiful bluestone Wesley Uniting Church in Lonsdale Street Melbourne.

The Reception was at The Gables Receptions in East Malvern, which is surrounded by one hundred-year-old trees, and with a stunning Victorian period architecture in the Queen Anne style venue, why wouldn’t you feel like a Princess.

As apart of Nancy and Khaseng’s Wedding Movies Package they had a quick turn around Highlight Edit, so when they go over seas to see family and friends that couldn’t make it to Australia for their wedding, they can relive the day as if they were there by watching their Wedding Movie.

*If you would like a quick turn around edit of your wedding to take to family over seas, then please contact me for a meeting to discuss your Wedding Movie options.

ABS Spring Spectacular Expo Cake Dive!

At the Australian Spring Spectacular Expo August 21st & 22nd 2010 at the Royal Carlton Exhibition Building, they had an amazing competition where seven lucky brides to be are chosen to do the Cake Dive for a $5,000 solitaire diamond ring!
Every bride who attended the exhibition who bought a $5 raffle ticket to support the Ronald McDonald House Charity, had the chance to win a honeymoon to the Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, and the $5,000 glistening ring. They had to be willing to get down and dirty by diving into a massive 5-tier wedding cake to find the solitaire diamond ring.
ABS Expo Cake Dive With Ring
We had the Wedding Movies stand at the Expo, and I was lucky enough to catch the end of the fashion parade and the exciting cake dive. It is times like this that I wish I had the Canon 7D with me to film this exciting and dirty event. Thankfully I had my iPhone to capture the moment.
The brides really jumped into the five tier cake and then they had to mush it into the ground to try to feel the ring on the palms of their hands.
The cake had been decorated with diamonties that would twinkle under the lights, which had the audience yelling out “It’s there! It’s there!” They had smashed  and mushed the cake so much, they even had it on the bottom of their shoes! That also had the audience yelling out “Check the bottom of your shoes!”
Eventually the ring was found, it took around 20min, apparently the longest time it has ever taken. So Congratulations to Erin who found the ring, and thank you to those who entered for your entertainment, it was a fun event for all.
Enjoy the video and we will see you at the next Expo! :D
