Helen & Nigel were married last weekend on the 10th of July 2010, at the absolutely stunning Nathania Springs.
http://www.vimeo.com/13352532I met with Helen in May, as she really wanted to be able to have one of their most special days of their life remembered, by having it created into a Movie. She had concerns that Nigel would feel uncomfortable because he thought that the videographer would be in his face all day. That is where Wedding Movies is different, we like to make you feel comfortable and relaxed by standing back and letting the day unfold naturally, rather than giving loads of direction.
Once Nigel’s wedding nerves settled, he was able to relax and I am sure he didn’t even notice that we were there.
The Nathania Springs staff are so wonderful that they help make the whole day run smoothly. We love that the venue caters for the all in one wedding, so while the photo shoot is happening in the beautiful gardens, after the ceremony in the Chapel, the guests have somewhere to stay and mingle with family and friends and enjoy refreshments and canapés.
Helen & Nigel and their guests certainly had a fabulous time and even made a spectacle on the dance floor. It is always great to see guests having fun at a wedding and not being a wallflower.

Wedding Movies is proud to be awarded 4th in the ABIA Awards TOP 10 in Victoria for Videography 2010, with the high rating of 97.26%. We are so excited to be recognised for our passion in creating beautiful Wedding Movies.
Ben Whimpey attended the ABIA awards night on Tuesday 6th July 2010, at the stunning wedding reception Leonda By The Yarra, who came 2nd in the reception category, and it is no wonder why since they have a beautiful venue with lovely staff.
The Bride and Groom’s of Victoria, who vote according to their experiences with their wedding suppliers, judge the ABIA awards. They nominate their suppliers after their wedding and give them a rating based on quality, customer service, attention to detail etc. What better way to find out how good a company is, than straight out of the mouth of Bride and Groom’s who have used them?
So we would like to thank all of our clients for choosing Wedding Movies to film their wedding video, and we would especially like to thank those that took the time to vote for us. It feels fantastic to know that our clients have nominated us as their TOP supplier over all of their wedding suppliers. This is one of the great moments that we realise how much our clients appreciate our hard work and creativity, so we are very grateful.
Thank you to our fellow Melbourne wedding suppliers who recognised our dedication and passion to giving bridal couples a professional quality service and a better experience, by continuing to recommend our services to their clients. We would also like to thank the ABIA for the opportunity to be recognised and we look forward to future awards and success of becoming number ONE!
We really do love what we do and it shows in our work. We feel it is a privilege to be an important part of a couple’s day by capturing every special moment so that the memories will be remembered for a lifetime.
If you would like to nominate Wedding Movies for the 2011 Melbourne wedding video awards please vote via the ABIA website.

When you are thinking about locations for your wedding, consider what you want your video and photography to capture, how do you want to remember your special day?
Melbourne wineries are a great all in one wedding location. You can have your ceremony, photo shoot, and reception all in the same convenient place so you can utilise your time for video and photos. You wont have to stress about where your guests have to go in between the ceremony and reception, and the food and wine would be divine.
Often Melbourne wineries have beautiful buildings, old dairy barns, wine barrels in cellars, or old winery equipment that you can use during your photo shoot. It adds plenty of charm and character to your images.

A Melbourne winery wedding can have fantastic areas for creative videographers and photographers to capture your memories, such as the rows of vines.

Before making a decision to have a Melbourne winery wedding, go and have a look at a few venues, talk to the staff, and get an idea on what and who you want for your wedding day.
